Talon started with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in May 2014, working with handler Deputy Brian Witt. He is a 60-pound Malinois, and specializes in patrol and narcotics detection. He comes from Working K-9 Kennel. In the spring of 2014, Talon completed his certification in drug detection, area and building searches, and apprehension. In just his first month, Talon racked up ten drug arrests, including assisting a neighboring county with a search warrant where several pounds of marijuana and a large amount of cash were seized.
